This blog is managed by Marc Jones, who also has a blog for English learners at Get Great English. I also am the de-facto leader of #TBLTChat on Twitter.

I started it because most freelance teachers don’t get training and can fall into a rut and stop improving or start feeling that they have lost a bit of the vibrancy and vitality they used to feel about teaching. I’m less freelance these days and more serial part-time but I’m always interested in new propositions, especially about listening, pronunciation and Task-Based Language Teaching.

I hold a Trinity DipTESOL and I hold a MA Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Merit) with Portsmouth University, UK by distance learning. I currently teach at two universities, a junior high school and high school, an orthodontic clinic and a automotive supply company. I have worked in almost every context in Japan that you can imagine. In addition, as of 2018, I am a collaborating member of SLB Co-op.

I am always interested in new opportunities and projects, particularly related to Task-Based Language Teaching, listening and/or pronunciation. To contact me you can email me here:
